For both of us, there is nothing more important in life than family. We both always knew we wanted children and have dreamed of the day we would become parents. We cannot imagine it any other way!
We started trying to build a family a few years ago. We both enjoy spending time with children. In addition to babysitting, Kirsten taught swimming lessons and worked as a day camp counselor during high school and college. Growing up in a big family, Bill was always around younger kids. Bill is the oldest of 4 children, and is 14 years older than his youngest brother! We both cherish time with our nephews, niece, God children, and our friends children. But, we very much want a family of our own.

When we first got married, we lived in Washington DC. After a few years of "growing up" together, we decided it was time to start a family. We were so excited!!
We decided that although we loved living in DC, we wanted to raise a family closer to other relatives and friends. So, we moved back to central Ohio! We purposefully bought a house in a good neighborhood with lots of children, area parks, and excellent schools.
While we have been unable to have children on our own, we are excited to build our family through adoption! We believe we have so much to offer a child and look forward to becoming parents.
